ArthroLab: Arthrex India Surgeon Lab & Course Portal

Highlights

Problem:

Avana Medical, Arthrex's exclusive distributor in India, ran surgeon education through ArthroLab — cadaver labs, live surgery courses, expert labs, and exhibits across orthopedic specialties — but doctor registration for these sessions was entirely manual. That made it cumbersome for busy surgeons to find and sign up for the right course, slowed enrollment, and gave Avana Medical no structured way to get pre-course material to registrants ahead of time or follow up with post-course content afterward.

Solution:

Latent built ArthroLab as a web-based portal for Arthrex India's surgeon education program:

• Interactive course calendar — an interactive monthly calendar of upcoming labs, courses, and exhibits, filterable by orthopedic specialty (Shoulder, Knee, Elbow, Hand & Wrist, Foot & Ankle, Hip, Orthobiologics, Trauma, and more) and by event type (Cadaver Lab, Live Surgery, Exhibits, Expert Lab).
• Online enrollment & secure payment — doctors browse, register, and pay for a course directly through the portal, replacing manual sign-up.
• Pre- and post-course materials in one place — registrants automatically receive pre-read material ahead of a session and post-course material afterward, both accessible from the same portal.
• Automated reminders & updates — scheduled communications keep registered doctors informed as their session approaches.
• Doctor directory — a "find your doctor" feature helping site visitors locate a relevant specialist.

Impact:

ArthroLab replaced a manual, low-visibility sign-up process with a self-service portal purpose-built for how Avana Medical runs surgeon education — by specialty, by event type, and by course. Doctor sign-ups for labs and exhibits increased following launch, registration and payment overhead dropped, and doctors arrived at sessions better prepared thanks to structured, timely access to pre-course material rather than whatever they'd been able to track down themselves.
